Been a long time!

Well, glad to be back on blogspot. I have been facebooking too much to take time to put anything on here. We have been doing many things around here lately. I know you can't imagine that with 4 boys living in this house. We are getting ready to start baseball in Sringfield this year. We decided not to play here in town because being out at the park until 9 or later every night is hard on all of us, not to mention the boys when they have school the next day. The boys are going to play at the 10th Inning program that High Street has in Springfield. We are all excited! Pictures will follow.
I will post some Easter pictures for those who have seen them.
I will try to post something at least once a week, afterall I have nothing else going on! (In case you don't have your speakers on I am laughing really loud!)

Birthdays!

I find as I get older birthdays are not necessarily harder to handle but they become more interesting. This past weekend I turned 33 and I was met with an array of emotions and excitment. Cliff and my parents surprised me with a romantic evening away in Branson. Cliff and I stayed in the exact room that we went to on our honeymoon. (How romantic)
On Saturday we went to my parents house and enjoyed the time with them. I love going there and just being able to be myself and not wonder if I made someone mad or wonder what others are thinking when I make a statement. My parents got me a cool touch fry daddy. I am excited to get some new recipes going. It came with a recipe for stuffed jalepeno peppers!!
Cliff and the boys had a present waiting for me when I got in the van on Sunday (my actual birthday) for me to open on the way to church. There was a candle warmer -- which I had told Cliff I have been wanting and a candle plus some candy. After church the men in my family took me to Taco Bell and then we were off to basketball practice. We then had Bible Study starting soon so off to the church. I am really thankful for our church family. I believe that some of our members totally listen to God when he tells them to share a thought or story or even a word of encouragement to certain people. I was blessed by several of those members last evening. Also, we made a trip to Dairy Queen on our way home from church. Isaac ate his first ice cream cone by himself. He did good. His car seat cover and all the clothing he was wearing went into the wash when we got home, but who doesn't like to have the whole experience of any event?
Anyway, birthdays may be changing, people around us may change for the better or the worse, but I am so glad that GOD is always the same no matter what age we are or what we have done in our past.
Thanks to all who sent me birthday wishes.

More Basketball

Well, we have finished the first basketball tournament. I'm sure that this will not be our last. Kelton shot the ball but it bounced off the rim and didn't go through. In the second half Arthur made a basket and was excited. Couldn't tell who was more excited for him, him or Kelton. Ahh! Brotherly love!
Here are some pictures.

Kelton's missed basket. Kelton is #55

Arthur's made basket took the game from 3-12 to 5-12. They lost 7-18. Arthur is #11

Basketball

Today was a day full of basketball. We had Upward Basketball this morning. Stephen has now made 67 baskets in the past 7 weeks. Arthur and Kelton are getting better everyday and are learning what being teammates really mean.
After Upward Basketball we headed to Republic for a tournament that Kelton and Arthur were to play. They have been practicing with a team of 3rd graders(mostly their friends) just to learn some more basketball skills and just to have fun. I know what you are thinking, Arthur is not in 3rd grade. He was asked to be on the team to make a team of 10. I think Kelton likes playing with his brother on the team. I know Arthur loves playing with Kelton.
In the tournament today they lost both games, but they improved greatly from the first game to the second game. Afterall, improvement is better than score at this age. I will post tommorrow how they do. Plus add some pictures.
They play tommorrow at 7pm. Kelton was ready to tell his coach that they could not play tommorrow because he had to go to church at that time. I told him I'm sure we could miss church this one time. Kelton is already standing up for his faith. I pray that he continues to do that and that his father and I have the energy to help him and his brothers.
Check back later for pictures and more basketball and boys!

Been awhile

Sorry it has been awhile since I have written anything on here. I started a facebook and it seems I am addicted to checking in with all the people on there. My best friend from Elementary School and some friends from High School on Facebook. It has been pretty fun.
Last week we had a scare. Stephen had strep throat and it is the strain that accompanies Kawasaki Disease. He had a high fever for three and a half days. The doctor told us that Kawasaki can be treated if caught while the child still had a fever. It attacks the heart and blood vessels. It is caused by high fevers and that particular strain of strep throat. His fever fell so he did not have to go to the hospital.
Today Arthur came home sick, not strep thank goodness.
Well, I will try to update more often.
Hope this finds everyone well.

New Stuff

We had our taxes done earlier this week. So, naturally we had to spend some money--it didn't matter that the transportation department warned or advised everyone to stay home. Anyway we got a laptop and a new camera.
So much electronic stuff to play with. Right now Cliff and I are both on laptops. I am on the new one and Cliff is on the youth group laptop.
Here is a picture I took of Cliff on our new camera.

The black and white setting on the camera. Pretty cool if you ask me. I love black and white pictures!!!

Isaac's favorite thing right now. He LOVES Elmo!!

Our Incredible Family Day

Yesterday we had a family day. We don't get them often so we take advantage when we can just get away and have fun. We went to see "Bedtime Stories" at the movies. I would highly recommend. The boys thought it was funny and there was also humor that was funny for Cliff and I. After the movies we went to the boys favorite place -- Icredible Pizza. The boys save their spelling tests that they get 100% and Incredible Pizza gives them $5 on game card for each one. Also, they each got $6 on their cards for having straight A's. Kelton and Arthur drove for the first time -- go karts that is. But, Stevie and I beat them. We spent 5 hours there yesterday. It was fun to spend time together as a family, I think sometimes we forget how important family time truly is.
